Fork springs from another bike?

Does anyone know if the springs from any of the following suzuki bikes will fit the GS and if it will be any improvement over stock?

06 DR650
02 SV650
89-97 Katana 600
89-90 RGV250

or springs that are: Free length = 297mm, Outside diameter 35.3mm x 33.3mm

or any other bike.

Just looking for a cheaper alternative to stiffen the front end.

All of those measurement mean nothing.Weight is the issue.My Progressive springs are a lot longer than my stock springs and the spring wire is thicker also.The bikes you mention have larger diameter forks so the springs will rub the inside.This rubbing will cause damage from the metal being worn off and getting into the internal parts.The forks will wear out rapidly and leak constantly.There is no dirt cheap way of upgrading the fork springs.It's rare that you find a better set of  springs used.That's why most of us turn to Progressive.

Try replacing the fork oil with 15w that helps with stock springs.

I would.Fork springs can become a life and death safety issue.Roughly $60 for progressives and the rest of your life will thank you.

They are there and that's where I got mine but they were cheaper back then.I looked up parts by brand.Progressive and then just looked for 111128.Remember these springs do fit other bikes.

I guess it's a moot point now, but it is strange you couldn't find the springs. I checked on several computers, and in each case I could find 111128 with Ctrl-F, on the page I linked.
