So this is whats up guys, I took than damn petcock off my bike after realizing it was the root of all my problems. Homestly, the gas merly trickled out! And I replaced ot with two valves and a T. It flows about four times better. I have yet to put everything back together, but I did hook all the gas lines up and the float heights are both correct now.

If you'd like a cheap replacement try this.http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=36958.0

I think my replacement is cheaper and has a better flow. When I tested the flow out of the carbs, it was a trickle with mostly air bubbles. When I tested it jimmy rigged, it gushed out, no air bubbles. Sure it looks funny, but it works. And right now, thats all I care about until I can buy a new bike.

Well I went on a 150 mile bike ride yesterday, and the only time my bike shut off was when I ran out of gas  But all I had to do was open my reserve valve and I was fine! So I think it is safe to say my way works just fine! Did I mention it was almost all wide open throttle?

Kaanan, the link below is a video clip I recorded today.  Is that delayed throttle response similar to the problem you were having with your GS500?

I have the same delay, but only if my revs are way down.  I have a stock petcock with an inline fuel filter.  I'm hoping this isn't a normal problem, or at least its something I can fix.

My bike did that because it was running lean.I rejetted to 40-127.5 and 1 washer under the needle. That was with stock exhaust and air filter. Now I run 40-150 and 1 washer with K&N lunch box and free flowing exhaust.
