1994 GS500E Conversion to GS500F fairings

I may be picking up a 1994 GS500E. Only problem is I can't stand the front headlight on this bike. Is there anyway I can change the headlight to the headlight and front fairings of the newer 2004+ GS500F fairings? (Not completely sure when it changed, but I'm guessing 2004) Are any other parts on these bikes completely interchangeable?

To mount the f fairings you would have to do a lot of work. Like welding mounting points the the frame for the new fairings. I think Average did this recently, maybe you could ask him how hard it was.
