mine seems stuck down by the lower right bolt.  i've used a screw driver and pried all the way around and there seems to be something still holding it on there by where the chain meets it.
i've removed all 5 bolts and slackened the clutch cable at the cover point.  did i miss something or does it need to be just pried off?
oh, the whole point in all this is that i'm trying to install a new clutch cable.

thanks!!!

ok, nevermind about the removal.....i got it off.  it was so gunky in there that it was making the 2 sides stick together.  no wonder my clutch was hard to engage.  so is just scraping everything off the best i can the best cleaning i should do.  i want the clutch cable as easy to squeeze as if it was new..if that's possible.

i know what you mean about the gunky stuff in there.  i just got around to opening the compartment for the sole purpose of cleaning it out.  man, that lube & stuff builds up.  grease, dirt, sand.  took me about an hour to get it all cleaned out.
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 muscles to smile, but it doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.
