Thanks guys!  I had to haggle with her some.    She was a pretty tough cookie to deal with, but I finally got her to settle for an Oreo ice cream sammich.

Yeah, the PO decided he didn't like the nice smooth paint on the right side and laid it down once.  I guess it came off then.

It's a 2002.  Only paid $800.00 for it and it had 5,103 miles on the clock.  It's all stock I believe.  The po did the fenderectomy (and the knobectomy  )   I dunno about getting her to take a few on the bike.  That's kind of scary.  If it were to fall with her on it, I wouldn't ever, ever in a million years be able to forgive myself.......but it would be cute as hell!

It's just a suggestion, of course, but you may want to replace the lever. As I understand it, the knob is intended to prevent the lever from piercing your hand (or other parts) in the event of a crash.   Having the lever in good condition sounds worthwhile to me!

I'm sure they are.  They are actually turned slightly to the right in the pic from the rear, but, yes they are bent a little.  It's not as much as the picture implies though.

i was lookong at ur tail end and i looks different then my 06. sure 02 to 06 right nope

i installed my kat shock yesturday and my brab handle is  black. your's look alot slicker in silver

then again your frame is sliver and mine is black. hmmmmm.  paint!!!
