Powdercoated a few things

took our rear rims off to powdercoat the sprockets and bolts and also measure up the 180 rear tire for the gs. As you can see the dull pictures are before spraying the powder and shiny is of course after baking. So we did the rear sprockets, rear sprocket nuts, both brake and clutch levers, Vortex rearsets from the 1000rr (they were black but really faded), the chain adjusters, brake brackets and a spare set of 1000rr passenger rear sets. My goal is just to black out as much of the gs as possible. Somehow I forgot about the rear brake and shifter but I will do those soon when I do my friends GSXR rearsets.

at home in an oven I made. Industrial ovens allow you to spray and bake in the same space which saves a lot of hassle. It took me about 3 hours to do all of these because of prep time then spraying and then moving items to and from oven. Powdercoating is really easy to do, the hardest part is making sure your parts are clean so you have good adhesion.

yep, well I know anything can be made to fit but we are talking about an extra 50mm in width so it might stress the rim out a tad bit.

yep, well I know anything can be made to fit but we are talking about an extra 50mm in width so it might stress the rim out a tad bit.

That's what I was thinking. I thought the biggest that people used was a 150 on a stock rim. I don't even know if the kat guys put 180s on their 4.5" rims.
