What do you think happened in this picture?

Hi. I'm trying to figure out what happened in this picture. Looks like his axle snapped and ripped open the fork draining the fork oil.

What are your thoughts?

and when something broke on the front end, kind of looks like there was no cotter pin, came loose, stoppie ripped the wheel from the fork and hence all that liquid spewing out.

I need (of all things) a gs 500 engine ...seeing as how i blew mine riding home from work in orlando to daytona.  (of course it blew half way between both)   some friends thought they new of some around christmass but werent sure.

Ive tried craigs  list   along with this site... i think i might have found something on a tampa site......but waiting for more info

that seems to be the great debate doesn't it? what makes a squid?  now, if i bought a zx-14 for my first bike yet wore all protective gear, i'd still be a squid correct? and yet if i bought a gs500f and wore no gear i'd still be a squid? correct?
