my only comment with all this is whats the point of a solo tail? to make the bike look like a gsxr? if they were like 50 bucks I'ld maybe buy one but 160? thats to much for just a plastc cover . and there held on by a metal tab? thats going to break off after taking it on and off a few times? Honestly if your that set on the solo seat do the r6 tail conversion or buy a gsxr.  Theres no good way to make a solo seat for this bike been there tried it theres not enough room to mount one and it look right and hold up. Your best bet it so buy one of these and another seat and screw it into another seat and just swap full seats. Just my two cents take it for what its worth. Also I've followed this thread pretty closely and weren't they going to be like 115?

Cowl Tech

Everyone will always have their own opinions and there is nothing we can do about that to please everyone.  But for everyone to know, No we are not a backyard company, and we followed the images that were requested by members.  Also the cowls will not be held on by metal tabs if you were reading, it will be held down by two straps.

Since we have this product made, and we do have a want for it right now with those who have placed their name on the list.  We have decided that we will lock your pricing in at this point, considering that we will not be able to guarantee that it will stay this low.  So for those who want it, please PM me with:
Name:
Address:
Yr/Model/Color(If requesting paint)
And your choice of payment option:
Paypal (If by paypal please include your paypal e-mail), Visa or Mastercard.

This way those who do want it won't have to wait, and will get it at the current group buy cost offered.

Thanks again to those who have respectfully given their opinions.

You'll receive it within two weeks of payment for an unpainted one, for those who want paint your looking at approx 3 weeks to receive it.(The reason I say approx on the paint is because we paint them in groups, and allow for proper curing time)  Thanks and let's start getting those orders setup then for those who want to keep their pricing set.

Hello Everyone, I'm new to the site and one of the reasons I registered here is cause I'm a Suzuki rider (Katana 600) and I'm always searching sites where fellow Suzuki riders hang out.  Anyway, the other main reason was because I saw that Cowl Tech is promoting its solo colwls here, and wanted to know if anyone has heard from Rich lately.  You see, I've been looking for this guy for quite some time now and have had no luck in getting to him.  I sent him a PM to see if we can straight things out but have not received any response, nor from him nor the "Company".  The reason is that it's been more than a month that I bought the cowl from him and about 3 weeks when he indicated that my cowl was ready to be shipped out.  As of now, I have not received anything from him not even a phone call with a status despite all the unaswered phone calls and messages that I have left him.  I have already paid him the $260.00 that he asked at the very beginning and still nothing.  When I called the "Customer Service" extension - the guy who answer said that he didn't have anything to do with it... that if Rich had it then it was upto him... in other words he told me to bugg-off (talk about "Customer Service").  I don't mean to dump any of this crap on you but all I'm trying to do here is to get my cowl or my money back and avoid for you guys to get in the same situation.  I already read about brighteyes67 that she kinda was in the same situation - hopefully she was able to get hers.  Like I told Rich in the PM that I sent him... "a good reference can benefit your business, but a bad one will defenitely damage it!"  I know, I'm in the marketing business as well.  Anyway, guys any information that you may provide I'll greatly appreciate it.  And Rich, if you read this, come on guy!  All I want is what I paid for!!!

I'm still waiting on mine, I had ordered mine on June 6 and I have called numerous times since then but never got a phone call back nor replies to my email until I signed on here. I eventually got a hold of customer services and spoke to a guy name TIM and he had given me alot of false BS. He had told me three months ago that my order was shipped and that he will call me back with a tracking number and I still haven't heard from him. As for Rich, I was connected to his cell phone, his grandmother answered and said that Rich had got into an accident 4 days ago and that she will relay the message to him to call me back and still haven't heard from him or anyone from COWL TECH. If I can find another company that would make my cowl I am going to get my money back and take my business there.

This makes me wonder how reparable  COWL TECH really is.  I had a funny feeling about this cowl from the begining. I looked at the seat long and hard and there is no GOOD way to make a cowl.  The Fact is that any one can make a fancy website. But the way I see it is its not necessarily a scam but..... Even if they do send them out are they really worth me  160 dollars? I mean seriously thats alot of money for a piece of plastic with some metal tabs? The best bet so a solo seat is the take a stock seat and make a cowl and permanently attach one to it. Cause I've been around the block I know how metal works. The more you bend it the weaker it becomes. Those tabs will break. Then when your driving down the road you get the right draft and there goIes 160 dollars down the road. I'm not saying anything bad about COWL TECH but they seem to get touchy when anyone says anything about them. Which leans toward a scam. And again like I said there's not GOOD design for a removable cowl. There just isn't the clearance on the bike. Has any one else thought about this?

bikejunkie223

I'n mot buying one because it's not my cup-o-tea, however taking several months to not ship items, not giving straight answers when called, and basically not doing what they said they would really makes me want to organize a forum boycott of their asses. Hopefully nobody else has given them money...goddamn scammers!

GI_JO_NATHAN

Well, not that I'm trying to jump on the band wagon or anything, but the fact that they were pushing so hard for a group buy, and haven't responded says a lot.
