Solo Seat Cowls/Huggers/Parts Request?!

guess i wasnt to far off on my comment about this being a backyard garage company.  but sorry to hear that they are yanking you guys around.  hope everything turns out ok

...now here's some stuff that I was able to gather from the sales slip that was e-mailed to me for the charge of the cowl.  The invoice was generated by a different company called Kitz and More www.kitzandmore.com from Brea, California but the name of the person who e-mailed me the invoice is Tim Asher who is the same guy who answers (when they answer anyway) the customer service extension at Cowl Tech.  The contact numbers are different but when I called right now the number listed for Kitz and More and requested customer service I got the same voice message from Tim Asher as when I call Cowl Tech.

Now, I don't know what kind of operatin Kitz and More is running but if it is they are the same as Cowl Tech then they're just scamming peple out.  Oh, and they don't answer the phones either, go figure!

Can't believe they'd spend this much time trying to scam a few hundred dollars. Thats just ridiculous. More than likely they just gave up on the group order as interest was falling. The level of customer service for those who have paid already though sounds appalling.

...okay, here we go again, I finally was able to talk to Tim since I dialed the Kitz and More number.  He was getting upset because people were calling them during the weekend.  I told him that they already have some pretty upset customers and crowd here and other sites and if they are getting calls at all times is because they are not delivering on their promisses.  I asked for my money back and he said that they can't do that because it was a custom painted order... what I told him was that if it was already custom painted then send it to me!  Now, supposely he's going to contact me on Friday to let me know exactly when the part is being shipped out.  I shouldn't be given him the benefit of the doubt but I guess I will give them one last chance before I get with my lawyer. 

I told him that they should check this and other sites to see how PO people are about them.

Time for one of you who has given these pricks money to file a complaint with the Better Buisness Bureau at a minimum, also a call to the States Attorney's office in the buisness' state will likely prod some results. State's attorneys like to prosecute fraudulent buisnesses

...that's right!  I talked to my lawyer and he suggested exactly that for starters.  For me Friday is the deadline... I do want the cowl as I ordered it but I'm not going to put up with all this bullcrap!

...I don't think is the amount of money that would matter much for them but the fraudalent act that should be looked at.  If we go quitely about this then acts like this will continue happening - not that fixing this one will stop all others but here and there will make a difference.

If you sent payment via US Mail you can call up the Post office in his town and get the Postal Inspector's # to investigate for mail fraud

That's better for you, call the credit card company and have them reverse the charge. Explain what happened, that they have basically stolen your money and the CC company will give you your money back.

This guy started out the same way on the cbr forums.  It has been 11 weeks for me.  I paid him on July 5th and been getting the same kind of run around with Tim and never able to get Rich on the phone.  He also has done the same thing on the EX 500 forums soliciting people and then taking forever to send their item.  I have not sen one person that says they have the part.  Yet he keeps trying to reply like he is going to complete his work.  He thinks people are dumb and wont talk and compare notes.    Here is my current experience http://www.cbrforum.com/m_531110/mpage_5/key_/tm.htm.  He is doing business on ebay as impact customs, on the net as www.cowltech.com and www.kitzandmore.  I have no part no money and no knowledge of when it will be sent after asking multiple times. I will help anyone with as much info as I can.  Thanks :mad:

I ordered mine back in June 6, i had called them and ask if they could make a cowl for my 07 GS500F and they said that they can make them so I paid for mine. I never got an invoice in weeks so i called and back then they were answering their phone lines, and they emailed me one. 8 weeks down the line, I hadn't heard a word by phone or email as Tim promised that he will call with updates or any type of feed backs but not one. I have called them everday for a week and finally got Tim on the phone and he told me that my cowl was already out on shipping and that he will call me back with a tracking number but never called. I again after weeks of calling finally got Tim on the phone and this time he told me that their was some changes that they needed to be made and that I will see my cowl on Friday of the 11th week, never saw or heard from anyone again. I finally got through on the 12th week and got connected to Rich's cell phone and his grandmother answered and I explained to her my situation of being jerked around with different info and that I want Rich to return my call, she said that she will relay the message and he will call me back in an hour, it has been two weeks since that last phone call and I still haven't heard from Rich. So I started texting Tim and I have finally got a reply but the same BS that he has been telling me from day one.

Tim Finally texts me back this past Friday and said that they are working on shipping my cowl and all I said was that I hope that a tracking number will follow right after because he feed me that same line last week and told me that my cowl was already being shipping with FEDEX, so I asked for a tracking or reference number and he said that he didn't have one, I told Tim that I once worked for UPS and I know for a fact that a tracking number is alway generated when a package is scanned for shipping, any ways he said that he didn't have one so I told him i was going to call FEDEX to verify that their is one being shipped to my address from owl Tech because they can check that with out a tracking number, and LOVE AND BEHOLD, THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING BEING SHIPPED TO MY ADDRESS, I WAS LIED TO AGAIN.... So i text Tim telling him that their was no package coming to me and that I need my money or my cowl this week and he text me back "NO PROBLEM". So now I'm just waiting to hear back from him, then I will decide on what step I need to take because I'm tired of being jerked around.

I'm sure it will be no problem....for them to continue ignoring you. I'd call the local police and the the local police to them- they stole a couple hundred bucks from you...
