Hey guys, again, haha.

When I bought my bike (used), it came with aftermarket clip-on bars. I like them, but I want something with a little more comfort. Not to mention, I'm slowly turning my bike into more of a streetfighter.

The guy gave me, what he told me, was all of the stock parts I needed to switch them back. I might be wrong, but I think there's some more things I need.

Here are the clip-ons...

And here's the parts he gave me...

Now, I know I need to get the missing nut, but is there anything else I need? And can you point me in the right direction, so I don't have to go straight to the Suzuki dealer?

Thanks in advance! :thumb:

How are those gauges held on with the clip-on bars?

What you have is all I remember removing when switching to clip-ons.. Funny that nobody is ever happy with what they have. I started with what you want and spent a bunch to get what you already have.

Zip-ties.  :icon_confused:  Another reason for the list of why I want the standard bars back, haha.

If all I need to get is that missing nut, then that's good to hear. I feel like something has to be missing from under the to triple clamp though... Like, I don't see it working out that the nuts just tighten up against those rubber pieces. But then again, I don't know, so that's why I'm asking, haha.

I need some clip ons. If you want to sell shoot me a PM. And it looks like all you are missing is a nut.

You're missing 6 things.  (not counting the nut) There's another pair of rubber "cones" just like the one in your photo.  A pair of special washers with a sleeve built in, and a pair of regular washers.  They all fit from under the triple.

I have an extra set of everything sitting right front of me.  You can have it all for free if you want.

I took off my bars about 4 weeks ago so i will take some photos when i get home and post them for you if you like.

I also only have zip-ties   at the moment but i am working on a solution but it is a matter of having enough time, i will try to post what i do when i finally get around to doing it.

If someone could post what they did that would be a lot of help and then i would not need to reinvent the wheel...

Thanks a lot and sorry for the hijack

Statistics are like a bikini - what they reveal can be interesting, but it's what they conceal that really matters.

I had the speedo held on with zipties for the first while. I now have the clipons under the top clamp so I can use the top peice the speedo bolts to. I just hacksawed off the bar mounts and tried to smooth it out a little. I might lower the bike if Heather starts riding it again, which would give room above that top clamp for the clipons if I want to raise them.

Anyway, in the middle of that whole project I got a spare bar clamp/speedo mount, and took a hacksaw and grinder to it. My plan was to cut it down just enough around the fork tubes to let me mount the clipons, and still have that top peice bolted to the top clamp so I could bolt the gauges to it. I unfortunately went a little too far and snapped one of the tabs off though. Just an idea for the people that are still dealing with zipties
