I'm a 24-year-old guy originally from Buffalo, NY now living in New York City. Just bought a cheap '92 GS500E as a first bike for me to beat up until I want something bigger.

I LOVE THIS SITE! I knew little about bikes before, but I pulled my carbs, rejetted/cleaned them, and reinstalled it strictly using this site. Thank God for those hose routing diagrams. Great place to learn about this bike. I love it.

You're supposed to beat up old bikes and ride them, not baby a $10K bike right???

Im Justin, currently at Bloomingdale, Florida. Just got my first bike, a gs500f. Its in decent condition. Has been dropped by previous owner, handlebars are bent up, some minor scratches, turn signal out of whack (now all fixed up). She's defiantly been getting pampered. Yesterday gave her a carb sync and some new 20w fork oil. She needs new springs and a rear shock, and a front tire.

But, anyway, HELLO!

I love Craigs list!!!!! will be posting here mucho mas!!!!!!  just bought some T-Rex sliders!!(no drillin!) , ) Katana rear shock, zero gravity windshield, sonic springs, 20W oil, 15t sprocket. now just shopping for a KN filter, rejet kit, and a exhaust. maybe a rear hugger....

Hey, I'm in Upstate/Western NY, Rochester to be exact.  I just picked up Homer & SlimKlim's old gs500 for a first bike.  The white '93 with green stripes on the tank, and chopped rear subframe.  So far I moved the license plate bracket and wired up some led lights for it, fixed the wiring on the veypor, and patched the exhaust.  Future projects are new mirrors, wire up the dash lights (just did that tonight), and possibly dock the seat to streetfighter short (also checked that off the list tonight).

Hey all. Matt, 09 gs500f. Bought brand new exactly 3 months ago today. Left over picked up for dirt cheap. Love it. Crappy weather in Ohio this spring has prevented me from only putting 2200mi on it in 3 months. Stupid weather.
