rear stand types?

which kind of rear stand should i get for the gs?  there were standard or spooled to choose from.  also, my housemate has a yamaha yzf 600r and i'd i was wondering if the stand for my bike would be compatible with her's.

Do not get the spooled type, unless you have spools welded or screwed onto your swingarm.
Probably the best type is the Pitbull stand.

The standard rear stand is the one you want.  It can also be used on swingarms that have spools.  Or you can get the SS rear stand that I think is dual-purpose.
