Well - I've started to scrape up parts for the winter project.
I've fallen in love with the idea of rgv swingarm and front end.
Has this been done?
Theres traces of a similar project around some forums, but the threads and details seem to have vanished over time.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I dont have the parts yet.
They're rather expensive around my parts, so i wanted to make sure it was doable before i spend too much cash on it.
I do have a lead on the parts needed though, so i may get them soon (i hope).
dgyver's thread is great reading, and will help me a lot with my project.
And yes i promise to photo-doc every step of the way once i get started  ;)

OK, now if you don't have em already, ya, they're pricey, in the US anyway.

Why not just butcher a katana for the FE and rear shock ? It's hella cheaper !

My mind is not set on the FE yet. But the 91+ USD looks amazing.
The swingarm just looks great as well, and after seeing dgyver's photos, its the only proper way for me to go lol
I started planning the project with price in mind, but no matter what course i take, it would put me back a lot more than what a bigger. better. newer etc. bike would cost me.
So im just going to build the GS of my dreams  :icon_twisted:
If i dont wreck it before and/or while im doing it that is...

He had an extra swing arm.PM him.He may sell.
PICS are GONE never TO return.

TheTazZ

Well...
The swingarm is secured now  :)
Its not in perfect condition, but a good clean will help a lot. I also plan on powdersoating anyway,
so that should take care of the last of the imperfections.
I've set my mind on most of the parts im going to be using,
but plans might change according to what parts i can manage to dig up...
A Raask rearset should be landing here sometime this week as well :)
