Is there anyone on the group from Alaska?

I don't think there is.

You know,I'd like to make the ride from Washington state up thru Canada to Alaska.I hear that's a really seneic ride in mid summer.Not to hot either.


Thing is I live in the south east.So it'd be 5000 mile trip just to get there.

I just looked it up.From my house to the center of Fairbanks,Alaska is 4157 miles or 2 days and 23 hours without stopping.Hopefull no hold ups either.I think I'll plan that trip for next month.

I am sure if you do this trip it would be known as your - magnum opus .... maybe I could join you somewhere on the main land and we could go together...maybe...someday .

btw I know of people doing this 4k miles on a 'bicycle' phew!

I live in Atlanta, GA, but I'll be in Anchorage for work from the 23rd to the 28th.  I guess Alaska is a big state, but if you're near Anchorage I'd be down to meet up (although I won't have my bike with me!)
