Just bought a new GS500F and I want to remove those safety stickers on the gas tank and fairing without harming the paint. I do I proceed?

I used 3m adhesive remover. Can be purchased at any auto body supply shop for a few $$$$.I simply soaked a sponge with it,lifted the sticker with the edge of a razor blade, and rubbed where the sticker starts to lift from the surface.Go slow or the paint clear coat will peel.
PICS are GONE never TO return.

Heat with a hair drier and they will peel right off.  Then clean up the residue with some turps.

The two warning stickers on top of the left and right side fairings are on a black sticker, I pulled the black sicker...at first I thought I made a big mistake, but I'm use to the look now.

The one on the tank I used my thumb/fingernail, the ones on the fairing...still waitng on my thumb to heal!
Seriously Stevo, what do you mean by getting used to the look, is the sticker covering bare plastic or something?

Everything you see now on top of the side fairings was black, it took a bit to get use to it  :thumb:

Crikey!  I think I would have soiled myself if I had pulled on a sticker and it took the whole top of my fairing decals with it.   :o

After the chemicals I used to remove the warning stickers ruined the black on the top fairing stickers...I was glad it was a sticker and could be removed, I wasn't going to look at the two warning stickers for any length of time, that's fersure

1 wheel peel

The best way is to park it out in the direct sunlight on a hot day for a couple of hours.  They come right off with your finger nail, usually all the glue will come off with them.  Use Goo-Gone available at walmart,Lowe's etc, on any glue left on the paint.  first thing I do to any bike once I get it home.   :thumb:

If you run low on fingernails a nylon gee-tar pick works nicely
