moving on ...sv650 here I come!

well i hate to say it but i have out-grown my loveable gs....

but i ended up getting an 07 sv650s with only 500 km on it

in hind sight i should be keeping the gs for my wife but she is still unsure if she wants to learn how to ride or just wants to stay as a pillon

so i do thank everyone here , one of the best boards out there for friendly knowledgable people that are willing to help others so for that i thank you ! the gs is a great bike to learn on

kinda funny is that my buddy (rides a tlr1000)who i ride with i think is happier than i am because when we are on the hyway he has to wait for me to catch up when passing , roll on power should be better at 70mph

i have had it almost 4 years , excelent learning tool !!!! and alot of fun , i just wish i had the money to keep it as well and turn it into a track bike , the sv so far is a whole new ball game , with the half ffairing you don't get hit with the wind like the gs so your whole preception of how fast you are going is new ... i will aways love my gs !!!!!

been riding exactly 3 years now on the gs500... not a single accident/drop/slip

(guess I'm lucky)

now i'm thinking about moving down to a rebel 250

might i ask why?, besides teh good mileage and such, but, seriously why?, im quite sure youve got a valid answer, but ehh id like to know it

don't care about the gas mileage.. honest (in fact i'm currently looking for a V8 car to replace my 30mpg 4 cylinder

I just figured that I don't really need the extra power. More horses to do what? yeah, go faster.. don't need that. Some car-racing videogames allow me to 'risk my life' in the comfort of my home.
Yes, I know is nice to have the extra power 'just in case', but I decided to use more skill to avoid putting myself in dangerous situations than to rely on the extra cc's to get out of one.

besides, that little machine (rebeL) goes 75mph easy.. what more do I need?

oh yes, and I forgot to add: plus i got nothing to prove to anybody in public with a nice shiny ricer.. I mean, racer motorcycle.

this is by no means a statement to put down those 'moving-up'... is just personal preference (that might change of course)

Cool. The rebel is a fine bike. I can dig changing to an even more fuel efficient bike. I just can't -FIT- on a more fuel efficient bike !
