Howdy all,    I've been lurking around here for a month or two now.  Just a quick question:

Will a 99' passenger grab rail fit my 92'?

I figure it probably does.  Thought I'd ask before I bid for one on Ebay.
My bike came sans rail and if I'm gonna get my girl to take a ride with me, I'm gonna need a replacement.  Thanks to everyone for their expertise so far.  It has been VERY helpful.

Yes.Any year from 89 to 00 should work.Any bike with the square tail. The newer rounded rear body work will not work without modifying the frame.

Many thanks Ben.  Actually, I think ill check here for people who might have one laying around before I place my Ebay bid.

Another quick question:  Should I expect any adverse results from upgrading my rear shock with an SV shock while leaving my front end stock?

Both ends are pretty beaten in.  The SV shock will be here a week or two before my front end springs get here.

The SV shock will be stiffer and a little taller. This will make the bike's front end seem alot softer. Also the lift will change the angle of the forks and the bike may turn quicker. Some people find this a little scary. If you upgrade the front springs and oil, everything should even out. With the progressives I needed 1.5 inch spacers for my 205 pound riding weight.Keep this in mind when looking at springs. The only reason I don't like straight rate springs(Sonic & Racetec) is because my bike load changes. It maybe just me or me and 10 to 30 pounds of gear.I never ride 2 up unless it's nessasary.

Sorry.Just realized you have front springs coming.
