GSXR shock here ... $75.

http://picasaweb.google.com/srinath.the.man/KatGSXRShocks

Katana shock here ... its actually in excellent shape. Else I'd have sliced it open when I had it popped open. I was itching to ... But its actually great. $50 for it. Its got powdercoated everything, fluid column is painted, last week.

http://picasaweb.google.com/srinath.the.man/PoppedOpenShocks

I also have a Bandit shock of some kind I am trading for fixing a shock of some other kind which I have not received yet ... OK OK later today Pics can come up. $30.

The buddha is selling all shocks ... cos there is many more that need to meet my saw blade ... or my contraption that can pop them open.

These shocks are all straight bolt in for any GS no drilling/grinding at all, no need for the aluminum linkage (89 and 90 only).

Cool.

How much shipped to 95503 northern cal for katana shock, and...........I gotta get that tire shipped out to you .  I keep procrastinating on getting to the post office.  I'll definitely get on it though!!

Remote reservoir adds one more adjustment to it - compression. It can be rather stiff, but the post 93 GSXR's are worse I think for being stiff.
I almost think the heavier rear wheel off the kat is going to need a bigger and beefier shock. How does the kat one work on yours ?
Rebound adjustment in a kat shock actually is the largest gain from GS stock shock. Rebound is so important ... that's why its on nearly every shock ... spring preload can almost be substituted for compression, rebound is its own beast.
Hey, next time we meet I'll show you the thing I sliced open.
How quick the shock compresses = compression.
How quick the shock expands after compressing = rebound.
How much it compresses = preload.
Cranking up preload will reduce the overall compression per impact. It works like you got a lot of resistance to compression. I will show you, and you would know.
The other advantage of a remote reservoir shock is that its unscrewable. You can deflate it and then open it and put in different weight fluid in it and try it out. It also can be resealed upon blowing for under $10 with the same technique.
Cool.

Maaa ... no worries.

It prolly be under $15 to ship it, but How about I call it at $10 shipping for you so $60.

I am atleast a month out from riding any GS ... possibly the GR motored monster will start prowling the streets in a  month.

If you want me to, I'll pull a spring off the GSXR one and powdercoat it in any damn color you please, and maybe do the other stuff that is steel in black ... Possibly 10-15 bucks ...

The kat shock ... well I dumped $25 worth of color on a $25 shock looks like. Yea I do stupid sheite like that ... just cos I can ...

Anyway your call.
Cool.

Opinion, but what would be better, the older katana shock like that one or an sv650 shock??  I had the option of an sv shock for 40 shipped.  I just like the bolt in option, but don't know where to mount the resevoir.  Powder coated yellow red or blue would be kinda nice.  You have any pics of work like that that you've done already?  I don't know if I've ever seen the colored springs on a GS before.
GS500E with a bunch of cool stuff!

SV shock is similar to a B6 shock - no rebound. Kat shocks are way better.
I have a B6 shock you can have for $30 and shipping and its a bolt in fit, no drilling needed, but its not nearly even close to a shock with rebound, and ofcourse that is not as good as the GSXR ... you get the idea. More dial, knobs, clickers, bells whistles ... better (within reason).
Dude - a shock is not for looks. Clean and non rusty and stuff is always good, but beyond that, its sitting under the bike with tons of crap flung at it. Its to be expected to be crappy - a little. The paint and powder on mine give it maybe a few extra years before it gets pits of rust.

That is $60 shipped. The shock dont have a remote reservoir. I opened up the shock and took pics. Then the last one is from when I refitted it back. I know its not leaking, and I know its rebound works, I checked it by hand ... set it to 1 and do by hand, then move to 2, then 3 then 4 and check it.
The top plate of the dash is just there so I showed it to someone. That isn't included.
The shock is refitted in the pics to the right, so that is what you get.
Cool.

Ok, great, I guess its got the rebound settings at the top of the shock then and you can just set preload like a stock unit.  That'll be perfect and pm me your paypal and I'll get it sent your way.  As a side question I weigh about 175 with full gear and boots, so knowing your stuff I'm assuming before I throw it all in, what kind of setting would you put that on for rebound??
GS500E with a bunch of cool stuff!

The Buddha

Set rebound at 4 ... if you dont like it turn it 3-2-1 etc ... at 1 its like a GS shock. Slowest rebound is 1, fastest is 4.
Watch your PM.
