Hi there, I'm over in the UK... just about to head home so kinda halfway out of the door... drop me a reply with the exact part number/pic and I'll see what my local dealer in Cirencester can do... Peter Hammond (Dealers) are quite good at finding that sort of thing and I'm waiting for some o-rings and bolts at the moment which I'll get later this week...
Cheers for now... my girlfriends bike is a GS500 EL 90 model... just helping her out... not my bike but feels like I'm welded to it at the mo
cheers
Pat

This part is 12600-24831.
Thanks.
Hoping intruder 1400, 1500 or marauder will cross over. Intruder 700 is not, its 79 teeth, mine is 80.
Cool.

Hi there,

My local Suzuki dealer has provided the following info...

45300-220D00 is a Seat Assembly for a RGV 250 (In this instance the 00 at the end is essentially blank as this usually denotes the colour...)

12600-24831 is a Starter Clutch Set for an LS 650 :thumb: which used to be named the Suzuki Savavage.  :thumb:This Starter Clutch set includes Gears plus the associated needle bearings/housing as a unit so no additional parts are required... Suzuki UK apparently have 1 in stock at a price of £177.29 plus VAT
There is no additional information from the dealer but a web search on Suzuki Savage came up with this...

The Savage was produced by the Suzuki Motor Corporation from 1986 to 1989. Manufacture of the LS650 resumed in 1995 and continues to this day. Apart from some slight cosmetic changes, the LS650 remained unchanged until 2005 when it undertook some modifications and was renamed the Boulevard S40.

Paste the whole of the following link into your web address bar and it should help confirm its the correct bike... I guess the USA models had belt drives on the later models rather than the original Chain drive...

Paste the following in to your browser to check the oem parts etc in the States...They have a useful microfiche viewer too...

Yea that is what I learnt from checking stuff. The only problem is ... that gear has a design flaw and the other crap that is sold with it is worthless, cos they never break. I have one already and looking like I am starting a collection of them. Exactly like ... you get a nail in your tire ... sizuki will only sell the tire with the whole rear fender and all the electrical sheite that is on it. A gear tearing at the webbing is just inexcusable. Pitiful ... they must have some crack heads at their product design labs.
The Savage site - I am a card carrying member. Have been for over 2-3+ years. I have recycled 2 savages already and this will be the third. I rely on that site pretty heavily.
Thanks guys. I have to figure out how to get around this problem.
