Yep, that's it.  I paid 29.95 free shipping as I remember.  They take the order and then drop ship from K&N.

Great mod.  Rashad, ask if they come pre oiled on not.  Mine did, but some guys have reported that they don't.

They flow a TON more air than the stocker and they sound COOOOL!!!

Best bang for the buck so far for me.  You WILL have to rejet.  It flows so much more air you can't get away without rejetting.

what kind of sound do these things produce?  a vortex sound or what?  are they easy to install, require any moding to the bike other than rejetting?  can i keep the stock exhaust?  do they fit a-ok in a 2001?  thanks all.

They make you think there is a mini cyclone under your seat...well sorta..
Very easy to install, and even easier to take out...bloody hell take the air box off and put these on and motor access time is cut in 1/10...The gift that keeps on giving...Well only side efferct is...some people think they shorten the motor life but I doubt they do...cos I have seen the inside of my airbox and its pretty shitty...so some crap getting in with the airbox, so no way that's good for the motor. Yea and the insane urge to rev the crap out of the thing...cos now it will....That also hurts gas mileage to the tune of 10-30% depending on how many grins per gallon...
Cool.

i was looking around and read that one major problem with this mod is that if it rains it sucks a lot of water into the engine.  fact or fiction?

fiction, you cant even see the filter on the bike unless you remove the tank or the seat. The water would have to be coming from the ground up to the sky to hit the filter. Or be in water up to your ass.

BTW a little water in the engine wont hurt it, keeps the piston tops clean and reduces temps in the cylinder. Just dont pour it in or drench the filter.

K&N pod & water in the engine is FACT.  It's not the water falling from the sky, it's the water from the ground.  Splashing up from the rear tire.  Also, in a heavy down pour, water tends to get everywhere.

Hmm I know people are cutting thier rear fender but are they cutting the front of it off too?

My fender comes down almost to my swingarm and a good 4-6" below the bottom of my filter which is also a good 12" forward of that spot. So unless you have a GS with a reverse and are riding it in reverse then water is not going to splash up from the rear tire.  I've ridden in plenty of downpours and steady rains with my bike and notice no difference in how it runs. Next time I ride through the rain I will have to feel the filter for water but I doubt it will be very damp.

Your $0.18 over btw.

Oops, I guess I was feeling kinda rich that day.  I for one haven't rode a GS in the rain with or without the K&N.  I have just heard from other riders that this is a problem.

Let us know If I'm full of sh1t or not.  You do have to wonder when you look at the orginal design of the stock air box.

Heh I'll have to take some side shot pics of the K&N filter so you can see it better. The filter is pretty protected up under the tank and between the frame.

Hey, do you have stock pipe? If not, what do you have and what size jets do you find work the best with the pods? I have a V&H pipe. thanks, bro. :thumb:

I have a stock pipe and am using 140 jets. I've read that 150 mains, 40 pilots and 2 washers work best for V&H and pod filter.
