Someone offered me money for my bike today.

I've had the GS about a year and a half now and some guy just offered me 2k tonight for the bike. Would you accept it or keep riding?

I almost sold mine, guy was outside with $2000 (or a little more, can't remember now) for my 98, at the time with 18,000 miles on it.

I walked in, got the title, walked out.... apologized and told him I couldn't sell her. She's my first bike. All that. He was disappointed but civil and understanding.

Is your current gs your first bike ?

I've talked to several people about their first bikes. Not one single person said they didn't wish it was back. Not -one-.

All the bitching, moaning about fixing her, adjusting, fixing, adjusting, drops and get offs. It adds up.

I'm a sappy shaZam! sometimes like that.

This weekend we have a big motorcycle rally in town, while I left the GS in the garage and borrowed a VTX1300 from work for the weekend... I will NEVER sell my GS's

I do want to upgrade as soon as $$$ allows, but I will keep both my 500's forever

Yes to answer it is my first bike. I need to get the money somehow for my fz6 I'm after. I'm prob gonna sell her next season as well as the wife's rebel that she doesn't ride anymore. If I could get 3500 for both, I just have to come up with a grand maybe for a nice fz or an F4i. Those are what I'm after next. I really like the GS and all, but I never really get too sappy. I've gone through a buttload of cars; 9 cars in about 7 years!!! I only wish I hadn't sold 2 of the nine. My first car a 1991 CRX and a 1989 saleen mustang foxbody with lots of mods. I think I could live with selling the GS especially since its pretty much a rat rod now. I get a ton of "What kind of buell is that??" I just got it from the guy who wants to buy it. I told him its a 500cc suzuki and his jaw dropped.

Tell ya what, Yama and Bluelespaul, whoever out of us three that can pick An's bike up (unassisted) and walk the furthest with it can keep it.
