with the katana rim, did you have to bend that brake bar? also what other modifications did you have to do to get that wheel to fit on the bike? how much clearance do you have between the tyre and chain?

Pass Sets are from 2004 GSXR 600, purchased from ebay. Yes I had to bend the brake arm, easier than expected, you have to put washers under the sprocket to push the chain out a little otherwise it rubs. There isn't much room between the tire and chain as well as the tire and brake arm, but no scrubbing, that's the objective, very easy though. In my opinon best mod i did,I don't know why Suzuki puts those skinny tires on them, it rides 100 times better with the wider rim..??

Today I painted the side emblems, they looked like crap, but look pretty good now.

how did you paint ur wind screen

mm75658 - I didn't like any of the windscreen styles that I found that are made for the bike, so plan B, which turned out to be better in my opinon because you keep the stock windscreen which looks good to me. Paint the inside of the screen, tint dosen't stick to plastic very well. I used some metallic type spray paint. The outside stays glossy, but I sprayed a clear coat over the outside as well. Chef

Really a fine looking motorcycle.   Suzuki should adopt your mods for the next generation of GS's.   Is that shirt armored?  Looks cool.
Attack but have a back up plan

Very nice bike! Most of the stuff I plan to do to my F. The only thing I'm not to sure about is the sliders. Are they mounted to some sort of bracket inside the faring. If not they're just going to break off anyways.

one last question what are the dimensions for ur brake arm now that it has them larger bend in it because im going to have one fabercated and i was wondering what the increase in the bend had to be/ how the over all lenght was affected

   Thanks again

Mach 1 - The top speed with the sprockets is 125, thats in the red line though, i'd say 11500 rpm's. The ignition was the only thing i didn't mess with, my friend is very knowledagble about bikes and he had a bunch of toys laying around, i'll get more info from him and relay.

commuterdude - it's an Alpinestars Jacket with full pads in it.

GI JO Nathan - I wasn't sure where the best place to mount was, I actually changed the placement yesterday to the side and more on the top, much better now, thanks for your concern though, i was thinking the same.

mm75658 - The brake arm is not that hard, it was trial and error as far as bending was concerned, a little bend and I would measure with the tire on. The only reason for the brake arm is to keep the caliber from moving with the rotor and from side to side as well, when bike get extended swing arms i've seen many different types of methods and materials. As long as the caliber is straight and dosen't move or rub you should be fine.

hahahahaha

I'm still laughing after this started (or I noticed it was happening) in the clearlight alternatives sale thread.

The bike looks great.  I really like.  I just got new fairings and a cowl, fender elimination, and got aftermarkets lights, and I need to get rid of some stickers before I can get the body parts looking shine.  I'll post pics when I get a chance, but for a blue and white bike, your bike really looks AWESOME!

what are u rear sets off of?

is did u just change change the pegs?

Yes I did figure the frame sliders wouldn't work there, that was bothering me for a couple days. I have relocated them to a better position. Here you go.

Thanks for the compliments skwidd.
Fatboy420 - Yep stickers removed, i want to paint all white though...soon.
Tang - I put gsxr aftermarket rear pegs on the front, that's the stock rear set. The back pass sets are off 04 gsxr 600 welded on.

GI_JO_NATHAN

They do look better there. But the problem is when your bike goes over that bracket is going to bend and your fairing is going to be screwed any ways. Really the only way to do it is bolted to the engine mount, with a hole in the fairing.
