Anyone here have experience with Kriega ("Krug") backpacks? They're moto-specific designed packs out of england. Complete fetish-wear for bikers if you ask me, which means they're right up my alley. 8)  A bit pricey (like $120-160 if my UKP conversion is right), but MAN do they look sweet.

I'm saving up for the R35, i'll post my opinions on it if/when i ever order it.

those look really cool and cyber!  lots of straps and bungee...very cool.  i'm waiting for a pack or a tank bag to have a cinch sack or something of the sort attatched to the bottom of the pack for my helmet.  i don't like the icon design because it's just mesh and does't seem that protective of the helmet paint.  i'm looking for something that has some sort of cloth, felt lined helmet bag on the bottom.  maybe even padded more than with just felt.  ....maybe that's my calling and i'll make MILLIONS!  hehe

My experience is that a backpack will make my shoulders sore after 1 hr of riding. A tank bag or tail pack are better. The best, inmho, is a tail trunk, but it's not very elegant.
The sack of the icon is neoprene, not mesh, it's the same pad that protects the tank when on the bike. I have one. The thing for the helmet is not very practical because you have to readjust the straps each time. I never use it.

This is just what I was looking for: functional packs made specifically for motorcyclists. The R35 seemed to much pack for me. I was looking for something more like the US-10 waterproof pack's small size, but Kriega e-mailed me back saying it was not a standalone pack. :(

Also, I asked about taking US orders and this is what they had to say:

Thank you for your enquiry - you can now order Kriega product, in the USA, through Aerostich Riderwear / RiderWearhouse Catalogue

Cool, thanks for the info Flash. Frankly i can't really decide between the R35 or R25. I'll probably just order both and count on Aerostich's incredible customer service to take back the one i don't want. Let me know if you get one before me, Flash, i'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.  :thumb:

Expensive for a "motorcycle" backpack. You can get hicking ones like that with the waist strap and wide padded shoulder ones. I have a laptop backpack like that but ran over the waist strap buckle so it broke, need to replace it but even without that it works fine. And it has a lot of padding in the part that rests on your back since its for a laptop.

Any backpack will work just dont put the flatest things against your back because it will hurt because your back isnt flat and straight while riding the bike like when you walk.
