04 gs i got some mod questions

now i want the K&N lunchbox and a exhaust system, i also want 2 rejet but having trouble finding the parts. I would greatly appriciate if someone could give me a site or sites were i can get the lunchbox n jets 4 my setup. thanks any help is greatly appriciated.

there are jet kits out there.  Here is one you can google.  Jet Kit: 500 cc SUZ 04-08 GS500F

If you bike is before 2004 i believe you can message Buddha and he has a kit he will sell you (me thinks he is still in that business) for way less.

The buddha sells them. $28 shipped. BTW, I have not run these in an 01+ GS, I am just echoing what people have used and liked. FAQ etc etc have a formula. I am just making sure I get the right jets from the dealer and packing them up. 89-00 I have tested extensively, and am very much guaranteeing that they will leave it with in a whisker on your bike if you do all the adjustments right. These, I am using other people's experience for now.
20 pilots, 65 mid mains, and 147.5 pilots are what you would use, but please read FAQ or wiki to enlighten yourself.

Yeah, buy jets from Buddha or just singly from dealer or whatnot...those "kits" are overpriced and tend to be very hard to tune well.  As for air filter check

http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=12930.0  I got lucky - the local dealer let me try different jets, and I brought back what I didn't use and only paid for what I kept.  That kind of dealer is all too rare, unfortunately.  I buy individual jets from the Thumpertalk store since I moved.

now i ordered the lunchbox, now if i go with a straight pipe for the exhaust wut should i go with for the jets?

Check this page out http://cgi.stanford.edu/~sanjayd/gs500/  all of your answers.  I am going to rejet my 06 soon and am thinking about 20-65-145 for lunch box and pipe and leaving the needle and mixture screw alone.  I would just go to the dealer for jets they will be just as cheap as online when you pay for shipping and online you have to buy them in 4 packs.

A conservative Starting Point for upgraded Jetting (Pilots/Mid Main/Main) for a:
Stock GS500 = 20/60/135 <- 130 mains and 1-2 #3 under needle.
Drop in K&N Air Filter Only = 20/62.5/140 <- Airbox K&N is 132.5 mains.
K&N Pod or Lunchbox Air Filter Only = 20/65/142.5 <- I dunno, stock pipe and pod filter = never done it.
Drop in K&N Air Filter + Sports Exhaust = 20/62.5/142.5 <- This is 132.5 and 62.5 or 65 or heck 1-2#3 under needles - not decided yet.
K&N Pod or Lunchbox Air Filter + Sports Exhaust = 20/65/145 <- This is close, just make it 147.5. Pipe and lunch box.

No wonder I am seeing lots of different numbers. Generally his pilots and mids are correct. I am still undecided about washers or mids, but generally one of those 2 will be the end setup.
