Thanks to Bob B, I've got a tweaked rotor, and a set of sprockets with oblong holes... anyone wanna share lobe center numbers for stock motor, stock cams? : )

Why would you want to change timing on stock cams?

Common sense in not very common.

'cause stock is not always the best for racing vs street.  At the very least I've got the factory settings so I can get them dialed in to those, wasn't sure if someone had already done the experimentation to find what gives the fattest powerband.

If anyone was going to spend the time, they would use moddified cams. The gain with stock would be very minimal. Not worth the effort IMHO.

When you're racing, and rules limited to OEM cams, it's always worth playing. : )

(If my spare set of cams are any good, i'm also going to test the dual intake cam theory... : ) )

Oh, I see.

Another option with using stock cams is to grind the side opposite the lobe. It gives a similar preformance to high lift cams.

OEM... Do they need to be GS cams? GR650 cams have a little more lift than the GS but will require swapping the sprockets. I measured GS, GR & Megacycle cams lobes a while back... not sure where I put the info but will look for it.
