To begin with, I got a 500 dollar part from e-bay for about 100 bucks. It was pretty sweet.

Well, it's an OEM, NOS cowl for a GS500E... chin spoiler if you will. Now I was sooo worried about mounting hardware and figuring out what I was gonna do because the seller had said that there was NO hardware included.

Well, I get the box today and shake it and what do I hear "chingalingaling"... hardware!

I was sooo psyched. Not only is it a brand new cowl (even though it's red and I'll have to get it painted). But the OEM hardware is included!

PSYCHED!!!!  :icon_mrgreen:

Oh OK, when stuff like this happens you have to pay tax to the buddha.
Now on top of that, you're running a red cowl on a black bike. There is an additional red to black surcharge.
PM me for details.
Cool.

Mine was an Ebay steal too.  $20 nabbed the basket case that resides on my bike
when I got it, the side pictured was fractured, and one of the bolt holes was just gone.  A little fiberglass and a well done (if I do say so myself) garage paintjob, and the end result is pictured above. :thumb:
Something is wrong with my twin...all of a sudden it's V shaped!  Wait, no, now it's a triple!  ...and I IZ NOT a postwhore!

All bow in the presence of the master GS!   8)
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

That looks damn good! I was actually thinking of doing the same stripe idea with the same dark gray that's in my decals on my bike!

Clear coats go on tomorrow (hopefully if it doesn't rain). She's all wet-sanded and ready to go!

Roadstergal

Who makes it?

That actually looks like the same red as on my FZ, and I've been looking for a deal on a chin fairing on it.  Damned if I'm going to pay top dollar for a chunk of plastic.

So, got her painted up nice and installed, more pics in daylight to come... too much reflection of garage floor.
