Hey guys,
i was wondering has anyone attempted or did and Kat's 600 motor into the GS? now don't bash on me with this question, i'm not a noob when it come to fabrication/swap/etc..i just wanted to know if or has anyone done or attempted. Reason being is that i have a somewhat complete 94 Katana 600 bike that i'm parting out. of course i'm using the F/E from that and i was debating on weather i should do that mods. well if no one has done it or attempted to do so then i guess i'll be the first to do so. but tell me what you guys think.

thanks

A kat's a longitudinally mounted inline 4... a GS is an inline twin... where were you gonna make space in the frame for the extra 2 cylinders?

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

Yup ... besides a kat is over 100 lbs heavier and stuffing it in the GS frame will result in a 100 lb extra more top heavy motor with another 20 horsies ... a GR motor swap will give you ~15 of those horsies and only a 20lb weight gain. A GR also fits in the frame more or less, its a twin, and is almost got the same motor mounts as the GS. I know I stuffed one last year. Here is pics.

Remember my focus for that set of pics is the katana front end. So you may have to look around and see what you need to see.
