Vista Universal Throttle Lock

I am about to take a long trip on my 06 GS500F, and will have to do a good bit of it on the interstate. I bought a Vista Universal throttle lock I am going to try and install tomorrow. I took a look at it, and it doesnt look like there is much room to fit on there. Has anyone installed one? And if so, any tips or tricks that will help me go along? If I can get ahold of a camera, I will try and do a how-to/write up with pictures. Thanks
