Frame Sliders... on an E?

Is there any way to install regular (non-E-Specific) frame sliders on the E frame? I know you'd have to mount them to the engine bolt up front, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of room there.

Longer bolt needed? Or would you have to chop the spacers between the frame and the motor to fit some sort of bracket in there that the slider then attaches to?

I'm kinda confused on the whole thing... but I would like some protection without the ugly case-cages. (Cheaper too.)

I can make these as well ... I made a whole engine protector/case guard one time. Again the question is volume and price.
Cool.
