Hi everyone,
I am new over here. Sorry for my english too. I'm from Greece-Europe. I own a suzuki gs500 06'(the naked model- made in Spain). Recently, i had problems with the cdi unit of my bike and i'm now trying to find a used part to fit the bike. It is really difficult to find something in the local market----after that, searching on ebay, i found some cdi units in the usa market, most of them from the 2004 model. I want to ask if these cdi parts from usa gs500 can fit my bike... I have asked a dealer here and he told me that maybe, i will not have any problems--he wasn't sure anyway.  From the photos i see on ebay, i can say the cdi parts are similar to mine. Maybe i can put a cdi unit from 2004 and up...
I really need help guys :dunno_white:

I cant imagine there being any difference........ the USA spec bikes differ slightly from the Euro spec bikes in the starter-interlock, and lighting circuits but they use the same alternator reg/rect and battery.

Try UK e-bay...its full of GS5 bits.

I will try in the uk market too and also in the site you have given me...
As soos as i get the unit and fit it, i will let you know if it's ok.
I don't know what is happening in other countries but here in Greece, buying a new cdi unit costs about 400 euros--too much for me right now... :icon_confused:
Drive carefully
