Hey brooklyn,
Someone recently bought a brand new one for $99 on ebay.
Do you have one for sale?
What color is it?
Is it the stock Suzuki OEM part or an aftermarket one?
They were also made by Targa Accessories and others.
I'm interested if it's reasonable.
Thanks,
Trwhouse

Well Brooklyn,
I just don't get it.
Why would you do something like that?
Why would you find something cool and then figure you can keep it a secret and make money off everyone here? Is that your intention?
If you think we're all going to line up to buy them from you at some inflated ridiculous price, then you're probably wrong.
You come here to our site, post all over the board filling other people's posts with your used parts bike stuff -- which is often rusty (look at the photos -- instruments that you list as "very nice condition" with rust all around the edges of the mounting bracket and very faded gauge faces  http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=102588020&albumID=2418464&imageID=36068965) and then you say you found some chin fairings but won't tell where they are sold?
That's ridiculous.
For you to be a new guy here on this site which we all love so much, that's not very friendly or helpful.
I don't understand that.
How do others feel about this?

By the way, several companies offer similar chin fairings in Europe:

Skidmarx

Hey there Mike,

Do you have pictures of the one you have?
Can I see them?
Is it an OEM part or one of the aftermarket fairings?
Thanks,
Trwhouse

Hey Trwhouse,

I said no hard feelings if you didn't want to buy my chin fairing, and that's true. But, dude, you could've at least PM-ed me back to tell me you were passing so another member could buy it. I was trying to be cool and fair about letting you have the right of refusal first.  :thumb:

Anyhow, mine's been sold, but a quick search of eBay turned up this aftermarket:

For those of you looking, good luck!

Not to hi jack, but I am also in search of a stock (OEM) chin fairing if anyone has one for sale or knows where to get one.  I've got an old '93 GS 500E that I want it for.  Thanks!

Instead of buying it off an unknown eBay reseller, go to the source. The one that Powerbronze makes looks like a copy of the old Suzuki OEM part:

http://www.powerbronze.co.uk/Display_Screen.asp?SSN_LNG=eng&SSN_CUR=uk&PRG_ID=25357#MODEL?SSN_LNG=eng&SSN_CUR=uk

Use the selections in the lower right to drill down to Suzuki / GS500E

Price is listed as 79 British Pounds plus 15 Pounds shipping to US/Canada.  Google converts that as USD$140 or CAD$173 at today's rates.  Not cheap, but it's a direct bolt-on and all hardware included, shipped right to our doors.
