I am looking to buy a GS500F with about 4500 miles. It comes with a Shoei Suzuki GSXR helmet, a Joe Rocket Michael Jordan limited edition jacket, and gloves. Bike seems to be in excellent condition, adult owned and operated, garage kept, one owner, never dropper. It hasn't had the 4000 mile service performed yet, but oil has been changed, and break-in service was performed. Inspection lapsed last year, never renewed, but bike is still ridden once a week to keep it fresh. Bike has some basic add-ons, like carbon fiber turn signals and handlebar endcaps, as well as a K&N filter. One small scratch on the gas tank from a key, and one small dent in the left fairing from a car door.

Guy was asking $3300 for the bike alone. I talked him into including the apparel for the same price. So my question is: is $3300 for the bike and all the apparel a good deal?

doesnt sound too bad. as long as it doesnt need anything, or very much, I"ll say its a fine deal.

IMHO, it doesn't sound like a bad deal for a cherry bike, especially with the value added gear.  But the gear is only good if it fits right.  Right?  Good luck!

It sounds like a good deal to me, is it for sale close to your area?

It's about an hour drive from my place. Also, the gear fits pretty well. The helmet is a tiny bit loose, but I was planning on replacing the pads inside anyways. The gloves fit snug, and the jacket fits well around the waist, the sleeves are perfect, and the shoulders are a tiny bit loose without the waterproof lining.

I think it is a good deal  :thumb:
Just for comparison: I paid $3800+taxes for stock 2004 bike in summer 2006. It had only 800 miles on the clock, tho.

cheers

Thanks for your feedback. I bought it and rode it home yesterday.  :icon_mrgreen:

It has some issues with low idle coming to a stop, but from what I've read on this forum, I just need to adjust the idle screw some, and i should be ok. No noise problems, knock, or anything else. Just a low idle that causes the bike to die when stopped, even when the bike is warm.
