as they have apparently learned to just sit and wait for the government to step in and provide for their care

Righto, it does have some humour, the photo that is, not the commentary. I'm a "lefty pinko" and beleive in the benefits of socialism vs capitalism. What I find offensive is the attitude that people that require welfare are always lazy. I don't expect you americans to undestand that but I hope that some of you might.
