Can anyone hookup a service manual used by the mechanics? for an 07 GS500F, let me know peeps, really desperate! thanks :)

fred

I like the Clymer one a lot. You can find that on Amazon... There is also a PDF version of the factory manual kicking around. I found it once by just googling...

Googling is not working out to well after hard searching...does anyone have the pdf?

I'm no mechanic and I own that exact shop manual. I've got to say, Clymer is the way to go. I use a copy of Clymer I got from the library for almost everything, Haynes, for the rest. The shop manual is full of great reference information, but not so great on how to do things. Just gives you the what, mostly.

Anything specific you need from it? I can post.

I have a 2007 gs500f and the Haynes '89-'06 manual. Im pretty sure there were no changes between the 06-07 models outside of body color. After a year of service, i have yet to run into any conflicts in the manual.

I have the Haynes pdf. 89-97 with the 04 F supplement. Shoot me a PM I'll see what I can do. I don't think the 04 is too different from the 07

Better late than never.  Here is a manual for the E model. Most info is valid for the F, too! You'll need a tool to 'unzip' .rar files. Google it. You can find lots of them for free.

Hey Mary
I got the 04 Supp. Manual couple months ago form you, thanks....but I'm looking through it and it's still pretty superficial...isn't there a more detailed service manual on how to do some service operations? (ie. clean air filter)
My CBR125 manual is 10x the size .pdf with MANY more pages and explanations on everything about the bike and how to do.....I guess thats what the full Clymers (<--duno if thats spelt right) or Haynes manual provides you with??

Anyone have full service manual for 07 GS500F? (2004-2006 would work as well)
Thanks

That part pretty much just covers the differences between the "F" and the "E". I thought I sent you a link to that one too. Only, prob is I don't think it has been used in a month and it may have been taken down.
I'm a bit under the weather today. Had to work security at the Bare Naked Ladies concert last night. It was only six hours but I feel like I worked a 80 week. My joint injuries are really catching up with me six hours of standing is awful. Guess having the injuries all on one side doesn't help.

When I feel a bit better I will dig up my pdf files and try to get it back up if you haven't downloaded it.

Sorry to hear that, hope you get better soon!!
I downloaded it....the 04 supplementary and the other one you kindly provided was the 89-97....downloaded them both....I think all GS's are the same....but I still need the FULL service manual....is that the one you have?

Toogoofy317

In all the scrapping and looking I don't think there was a full manual on the net as of a few months ago. I know what you are talking about now. This was the chymler that I put up right. I will try to do some more searching.

Is there specific info you are looking for?

Yea I need the full explanation parts about 1. rear brake work (remove caliper, pads), 2. removing rear wheel, 3. removing rear disc/rotor 4. chain setup when putting the rear wheel back on (or is the same as almost just doing a chain adjustment?)

I know how to do most of it...but I don't feel comfortable doing it without something to refer to, if any complications arise.

Toogoofy317

I do have a complete part list manual that gives very detailed diagrams just not written instructions. Would that help?
