I live in a small town so we dont have any of those around!!

I use to think we didn't have them too. Then one day after heavy rain I noticed a green pole near a creek that had a solar panel on it and a small antenna. Obviously, some kind of monitor w/ solar powered transmitter. Since then, I have identified several solar powered things around my locality. Some illuminated signs at school zones that come on when the kidlets are coming to and going from their school. A light. Other transmitters.

Live near Seattle. No solor powered anything as of late June is supposed to be prime riding weather! Dang you rain!!!!

That's like living in an @sshole and complaining about the smell.

We have all kinds of solar powered signs in Seattle. Usually ones indicating the bridges are closed.
Like 35th Ave SW a couple blocks south of Avalon. Dang - now I have to go take a picture since I know where one is.
