Sixter,

Welcome to the game - and - welcome to the board. At least we don't need to ask for a pic of your bike :icon_mrgreen: :thumb:

Damn beat me to it. Well how about near a Ferrari or with one in frame? Parking outside a dealer may be the only chance at this one for some....

Well, *I* just take the words "next to" to mean "near-ish and within the picture".

Oh.. hint hint... also didn't say a Full Size Ferrari... so a Matchbox one would work here, I reckon. ;)

But this is such an intriguing challenge, I'll get this after work just so I have a pic of my bike and a Ferrari together.

Nber1LouFan,

That is one GOOD looking bike!

Black and red contrast so well and the understated logs are the perfect finishing touch.

Keep the shiny side up,

Chuck

Homer, what the F*** is your problem.  Why are you always a jerk to everybody, muddying up the forum with bulls**t?  I'm just trying to have a little fun.  Look, you were able to fulfill the challenge.  Good for you.  As for your comment on my bike, I built my frame.  I didn't buy it, I built it, along with the rest of the bike, as well as the wiring.  I wouldn't have said I built it if I hadn't.  Please don't try to bring me down to your level, just because I don't have that ugly green paint all over my bike.

Strangely enough I thought about this portion of this thread while on a hike yesterday.  What occurred to me is that Homer seems like the people in my life who have yet to realize that they're not significantly smarter than most of the people around them.  However, they believe that they are quite smart, yet frustrated with their inability to create anything with all of that genius they generally level a sarcastic tone against people who do.  This situation is playing out on a micro level in this thread but is observable in many of Homer's posts that he has made.

Peace,
Syzygy

PS I've got a good spot for the speed indicator sign challenge, will have it up by Friday  :flipoff:

Nah, this one won't fail. I can get this one. A real full-sized Ferrari. I just need to finish work at a reasonable hour. And 12 hours At work doesn't leave a lot of winter daylight left to get the pic. But worst case, I'll get a night time shot with a prolonged exposure (which would look good anyway). Yep, I'm determined to get this one.

Syzygy: As it was a failed challenge and another was picked, if you get it you'll get the credit for it but can't pick another challenge cause we'd then have two on the go.

You can complete your own challenge Only After one week has passed. And, in fact, my take is never to issue a challenge unless you know you can get it if noone else can - so we don't end up with Failed challenges.

Patience Padawan. I'll be getting it.

It was overcast in DC today so I couldn't get the shutter speeds I needed to pull this off with one hand.  Here is the best I could do.  The first pic I was riding past the sign at 24, but it's blurry, the second pic I was stopped.  Figured we could average the two, or somethin'. Speed limit was 25 on South Dakota Ave.

Peace,
Syzygy

Looks like you got the previously failed one. I believe it said an electronic speed sign and your bike with the sign reading less then the speed limit but not zero. Nothing about you having to be riding in. Good job!
