Hey guys,
I'm just about ready to put my bike away for the cold New england winter.  I've got stabil already, plan to store in a garage and put on the center stand. My question is :

Is it sufficient to take the battery out, store it indoors, and charge it again when spring comes (checking fluid levels as well) ?

Or does it have to be charged periodically throughout winter via trickle charger or battery tender?

Thanks !

get a battery tender jr. you can get one for $29 shipped to your house off of ebay. plug it in, and leave it that way all winter long and your battery will be in perfect condition come spring.

Is the battery tender and trickle charger different? I read the tender you can leave plugged in all you want and the trickle charger must be plugged out after some time (ie. 10 hours for GS500 battery)
