I found a new store today, called Cycle Gear. They have all kinds of after market parts, both bolt on and a little more serious. You probably wondering why is this guy writing about it, well the neat part about this store is it truly 100% costumer satifaction. If YOU don't like the product return it, no questions asked.   :thumb:

Well anyway i went and bout  these:

1)Lockhart flush mount turns

As soon as i got home I started in on them only to find out the my right side wiring was not long enough, so off to Bi-mart to get some wiring goodies. Now i have finished them, i am still indifferent about them here is a vid, and some pics. I feel they are too large. oh and yes i know i need to get a new flasher to accommodate the LED's

Out of the box they look ok, the triangle like shape of the lights resembles the many angular points of the F series. The lights have a rubber backing (part the touches the bike faring) wihch was a nice surprise, so it molds nicely to the fender. The wiring was a bit short so if you are doing this project you might want to plan ahead and grab some extra wire and some crimps. They are pretty bright, i was hoping for more but they seem to have a decent output all most angles. As with most LED's they have one angle (where the bulbs face) that gives the greatest output. My only concern with these is the appearance, i am still unsure  :dunno_white:, perhaps if they were smoked they would match a bit better. I am looking into another option which might turn out to be better.

I had these on my bike....They aren't very good IMO. They got water in them and stuff, and wern't as bright. I took them off for some regular ones.

I have yet to see any aftermarket turn signal that's close to as bright/visible/functional as OE signals.

Cycle Gear gives a one-time discount to a new rider who has just passed MSF, and a regular discount to MSF ridercoaches (at least in CA).  Nice policy.

i have a nice pair of lockhart phillips flush mounts on my bike, but they are not LED's, which I prefer. I think there is more visibility with a standard bulb, still not as good as the stock blinkers.
There is a pic of them in this thread:

I think the smoked version of those would look nice on your bike.

O.K. So today was an eventfull day. I started off by taking the farings off my bike so i could install theses resistors to stop the fast blink:

1)

Word to the wise: don't do it, there were no instruction and they blew the relay, not the fuse but the relay, both sides stopped working all together.  :2guns: Now, i fugured since i am already have the fairngs off and i am not a particular fan of this style, i would remove and exchange them for a different style. which i did, i now have these:

2)

These were very tricky to install, if you'll notice, there are two posts coming out of the back, one to hold the light into place and one where the wiring comes out, well the jiant holes in the faring where the stock ones used to be were so large these little oval guys just fell right through, and the backing plates that came with them, also to small and would just fall right through. I had to custom these brackets (which i also had to go back and buy) so both the wires and the posts had their own hole, like this:

3)

now the nut for the post was of coarse, to small and would just slide through the backing plates, so i had to take some plastic washers that i had laying around and sand them down to fit snuggly behind the backing plate.

alas, we have mounted smoked R1 aftermaket turns.

I believe these ones to be much better, not only look better but they are smoked  :kiss3: they look clean and still have a little depth to them for visibility.

Thanks again for reading, let me know what you think!!

Hmmm,
When I installed my load balancer that did not happen. I have Leds all around which to me are brighter than stock. Will try to show you what it looks like! Just gotta find a clear silicone adhesive to clean it up a bit!
