Any road trip enthuists who has not watched the Long Way Round series is really missing out. Two guys riding bikes 20,000 miles from london across europe russia and asia, then from alaska to new york. Worth a rent.

They did another trip called the the long way down. Riding south through europe to cape town africa. Just started watching this series tonight and already its making me itch for a motorcycle trip..

I always thought stuff like that was cool until the guy who was going to ride his KLR to south american and hit a donkey in mexico then spent 6 months in a hospitol there unable to contact anyone...and now he doesn't walk.  Maybe I'm just not adventurous enough.

I think you're referring to Clayton (i.e. Ozymandias) from advrider. The latest information is that Clayton has passed away. It is a tragic story and worth a read:

He no longer moves at all.  That's terrible...he had so much, too.  It's stuff like that which prevents me from being adventurous...not the fear I will be harmed.  In that aspect I am unequivocally fearless.  It's not just about me, though...I would leave so much should I die.  I can't bear leaving my wife alone, and I have a child on the way.  I have a family who loves me.  That's just too much.
