I'm just curious.  A forum my wife frequents is all up in arms over it and it makes me curious.

Me...I don't care.  My kid will be circumcised because I, myself, am all about simplicity.  While proper hygiene fixes 95% of the issues associated with not circumcising, I'm lazy.  One less thing to pull back and wash suits me fine and I trust my sun will feel much the same.

What do you guys think?

i had mine done before mom ever brought me home...seems to be ok. although i think the docs cut more than they were supposed to, i find myself thinking i'm not just vertically challenged.        anyways. i'd rather have had it done as a youngster and not remember then to decide for myself to do it as an adult and remember that situation.   8)

I wouldn't allow that to be done to my child any more than I would allow someone to tattoo a barcode on the back of his neck.

The male sex organ has evolved over millions of years.  I'm pretty sure it doesn't need to be "modded" to function properly.  ;)

According to several medical publications, you also have more nerve endings "down there" than in your finger tips.  So, there's no such thing as "painless".
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

From all that I've read on this subject, circumcision gives more sensitivity (sometimes too much -until he gets older) .

On the flipside (if there is one), uncircumcised can lead to more disease if hygiene is not followed and cancer of the pee pee is 75 times higher than in circumcised males. Also the transfer of AIDS is exponentially higher in uncircumcised vs circumcised males from female to male partner.
Hope this helps.

I KNOW you can give me lessons on SEAL training and I respect that. Truly I do. But this morning I am going to give YOU a lesson in English grammar.

"as a infant" is NOT correct!!! Sweet Jesus!!! Listen..........if an object begins with a vowel , use AN, if not use A!!!!!!
a,e,i,o,u and sometimes y (i.e. "It was an Yves St. Laurent model".)

It is NOT, "I threw a apple at him"..........it IS "I THREW AN APPLE AT HIM"............................

There are exceptions to this when describing the alphabet and also before an object that begins with a vowel that is being described by an adjective beginning with the letter H. Example.............. "It was a historic event".........this is NOT correct......
Correct example is " It was an historic event".

OK......now........let's pretend we are cheerleaders

Give me "an" A,E,I,O,F,H,L,M,R,S,X (notice the vowel "U" is left out--an exception to the rule)
All the rest go with "a". This holds true when dealing with acronyms as well (the acronym "starting letter").

Frankie.........14 hour days and your English is driving me to an early grave.

So..........

Give me an F
Give me a  U
Give me a C
Give me a K
Give me a Y
Give me an O
Give me a U

Geez, I need to go back to sleep. You're killin' me Frank, you're killin' me.

Don't do it, theres no point unless for a medical reason.

My cousin had it done for medical reasons, but i wouldn't do it just because your son might be too lazy. Your ment to teach him, they dont cut off your finger ends because you get dirt under your nails. No point. Teach him right and there won't be any problem.

Kasumi, I'm just curious...do you have children?  I ask because anyone who has children knows that just because you teach them to do the right thing doesn't mean they'll do it.  A good example is brushing your teeth...I'm 27 years old and still don't brush my teeth like I should, and I don't think I've bought floss in ten years.

I'm just saying that it requires more than just teaching your kid the right thing to do.

Neither do I.  But is that a valid reason to have your teeth removed at birth and replaced with dentures, because you might be lazy about cleaning them?  Have you ever had a tooth extracted or a root canal performed without anesthetic?  Circumcision is the only operation routinely performed throughout the world without anesthetic.

Again, it's really tough to argue with a few million years of evolution.  Showers, bathtubs, and soap are only a thousand or so years old...  Whatever problems the pro-circumcision doctors say that circumcision prevents sure didn't prevent human pee pee from functioning well enough for us to populate the entire planet.  I think that speaks for itself.

GeeP...you misunderstand.  I could argue with you that it would, actually, warrant the removal of your teeth as they come in because infected, poorly maintained teeth can actually cause enough damage to kill a person, but that's not the point.

The point of my comment was, just as I said, word for word, ver batim, et cetera...It requires more than teaching your kid the right thing to do....that's to say for them to do the right thing.
