mirror ? on nekkid GS w/ clip-ons

installed the 89' powder coated clip-ons that i picked up from cosmiccharlie today, and they do look fine! with my simian-like long arms, they're plenty comfortable too, with a much better appearance (especially like how they clean up the top clamp area). i had been running bar-end mirrors on the original bar and liked them, however these clip-ons have the bar-end anchors inside the bars. my question is how easy would it be to remove the threaded anchors inside the 89's, or is there a better option for mirrors on a non-faired bike w/clip-ons?
