I've been chancing skin grafts for way to long. I picked up the leathers for $120, and the shoei, boots, gloves, extra screen tossed in for another $105. That's right, leathers and a pristine lid (still had the paper mess in it) for $225.

Schweet ! Finally ATGATT !

oh, and the wife is outta town till tuesday :D

Can't beat that with a stick!

Looking good!  Don't scare ALL the little kids in Wal Mart.

Reminds me...  I was at the library one day last year picking up some books.  As I'm standing at the front counter, this 6yo kid with a mohawk wearing a Fox T-shirt runs up to me and says "Hey mister!  Are you a dirt bike racer?"

Priceless!  :tongue2:

Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

Yeah, seriously my shoei was $350! More than you paid for the whole she-bang.

Last week at church a teenager ran up to me in all my gear ( was talking to his mom) "do you ride a motorcycle?" My sarcastic self got the best of me "nope I drive a car" which I do that too!. He was like whoa you really like protectrion when you drive. Mind you I was standing by the bike as well! His mom was sooo embarrased she was like "honey you know Mary ate Christmas dinner with us and dad put the bike in the garage when it rained" An interesting moment indeed.

You're camel back is on your back right? I found that kinda anoying so my rapid transit tank bag has a slip in area for the bladder and it runs through a channel. So at a red light I get icy cold water. I freeze the bladder half way fill the rest with water put it in the water proof bag and is good all day!

Which is warmer leather or Cortech?

kids r dumb ;)

i have worn my camelbak in the backpack, or just on my back. yep, freezing it in that weirdly insulating pouch does for nice drinking all day long. i used to cycle a good bit (pedal bikes) and camelbak was the only relief on 105F days of sweltering training. :)

leather is hottererererer. cortech just imitates hell, leather BRINGS it ;)

Did they throw in a cape, or do you have to purchase that separately?  ;)

fred

Sweet gear! How did you get such a good deal? Were you just lucky and able to fit the one suit on sale or did they have a selection for ya?

I check craigslist.org daily for stuff that looks like a good deal. If it didn't fit me, I would have sold it to one of the gstwinners for cost + shipping, but it did !

LOL, when I was riding with a friend to Halloween Horror Nights we stopped at a Turnpike Service Plaza and I heard some little kid yell loudly to his Mom "Hey look, that man is a Power Ranger!". Everyone in earshot turned around and looked right at me.  :cookoo:

Damn! I emailed that guy on Friday as soon as I saw them on Craigslist. Told him I'd be by Saturday afternoon to get them. He emailed me Saturday morning to let me know somebody beat me to them. Never thought I'd see them on here  :D

Congrats on the leathers. That was a great deal!
