Hey guys!

I am pretty new here.  This forum has been extremely helpful to me so far.  Today I decided to make my first post!

This winter I have purchased an 89' GS.  I picked her up for $630.

She only has roughly 7k miles on her...but she was left in storage for almost 10 years so as you can see she is a little dirty.  :embarrassed:
I don't mind putting in the work to get her in shape.

Anyways...I have been prepping the fairings and running some paint schemes through my head (and photoshop) and I was curious what you guys thought.

Here are a few ideas.  (I am still not sure if I will be keeping the front windshield fairing on it or not)

This first pic is one i stumbled across online.  I decided it was a suitable one to play with in photoshop since it has similar fairings.

I was thinking...maybe ORANGE?

But then I wasnt sure I wanted it all mostly the same color.
So I played with one of my fav color combos (black, red, white)

Then I started getting a little concerned if the gray frame was too much and clashed with it all.

So I then decided to try blue...and so far I think its my fav.

Or would it be better to paint the bottom fairing blue if I don't keep the windshield fairing?

I like the blue as well but the Red is a close second! If you decide to sell the windshield fairing please let me buy it from you! I've searched high and low with zero luck finding one. They have fallen off the face of the earth with the exception of the few still found on bikes. Good luck on the resto!

Yeah, blue and black is good.  Belly pan either way.

If you go with the blue I don't like the blue belly pan, keep that black.

I say blue/black is the best by far. Keep all fairings, if not i'll gladly take the lower off your hands! Good luck!
Today is in my way.... But tomorrow is another day.

I was just concerned that if I decided to take the windshield fairing off then the bike wouldnt look as good with so little blue...and perhaps the blue belly pan would help.

THANKS for all the opinions and suggestions guys.

If you ask me , I reckon the orange one looks pretty neat. Would look great with black rims  :D
