Anyone seen the new Vmax - new for 09, released in 08 sept, its now being the new turkey on dealer floors.

The old Vmax, was powerful, didn't steer, and was really brutal looking and in acceleration. It however was OK for a 31 inseal 230 lb rider to sit on it, flat foot it and see that it fit like a glove. And trust me, it needs flat footing, cos the F@(ker does not steer.

The new Vmax, is even heavier, even more brutal looking and even more powerful. Not to mention much much more $$$ and its just simply too tall for any one to flat foot it. WTF, you trying to kill the people who dont know how to ride ... way to go Yamaha, killing your customers is what many in the biz call bad business practise.

Turkey's are not born, they are made, and worthless crap with huge design flaws, and no redeeming qualities are what makes a turkey.
Like ugly ass front loaded with plastic end's, skinny ass rear tires on choppers, and pityful plastic and steel frame on a bike that originally had aluminum.
And dont even get me started on the damn Valkyrie Rune.
Cool.

Old max is a blast. The new max is a POS. Extra weight, extra heft, extra width for a bike that already had plenty of power and not enough handling does not make it a better bike.
The new max should have been lighter lower and narrower than the old max, maybe handled better ... but this is a huge step in the wrong direction.
No one complained a Valkyrie was down on power either. It was heavy and fat. The Rune made all of it worse. Plus it was ugly as crap.

Speaking of vmax's, I have my gs up on craigslist and a guy offered me a trade on his '96 vmax. Of course it isn't straight up, but he said he wants $4,500 for his and he'd give me $2,700 on my gs, which I think is fair.

Here's the bike, what do you think?

They are fun to ride, but they dont handle they are heavy and they are an insane beeeyatch to work on.
I have a liking for that genre, and anyday I'll take an eliminator 1000 over the V max. OK Vmax is actually faster and more powerful. But still eliminator 1000 is my beast of choice.
The other thing is with the servo's wired open the Vmax feels slower and less powerful and more docile, when in effect its more so on all counts. We perceive jolts and surges of power more than power itself so its a good mod. Its faster and more powerful and still smoother and safer.
