Dont do the new one, buy an old one and restrict it.
I may be persuaded to cook you up something. But the basic idea is that you set the slide to open no more than 75%.
That way you can whack the throttle open but it will only run to 75% of max throttle opening. it will run very well but only to ~8K under max load. It will run higher revs but only in lower gears. That is the european way.
Cut a plastic piece (can be like a bic ball point pen) to the right length. Then fit it inside the spring in the slideso spring will only compress till that is hit. You should put it on the bottom of the top cap and glue it on that peg thing it has.

so you would just restrict the carbs from opening fully witch would restrict the fuel air and lowering the motors top end.  am i understanding right?

i joined a uk forum and spoke about the gs im building , they laughed at me , saying its a POS and its worthless etc , i said look , i dont judge u for riding a bike ,. so why judge me . i dont need to go 160 mph and throw myself down a rode , i infact like using the gears as much as possiable to get the most out of her , plus im not made of money and petrol isnt cheap

Well, sorry to hear that. However like others have said some of us here have experience with the Ninja 250s so any questions you have or if you need any help don't hesitate to ask.
