I successfully separated the crankcase today and my next step to my rebuild is to clean the engine up. Would gasoline and a rag in a well ventilated area (like my driveway) be a sufficient way to clean this engine or am I asking for trouble by doing that.

dgyver

I have used gasoline for many years for cleaning parts. Typically old gas. Prefer kerosene though, as it is safer.
