Today I go out to my bike to go to a Dr. appointment go to put my tank bag on to find my right mirror laying on my tank. WTF?!??!?!? The mirror is broken off at the stem! Look closer and see what apears to be road rash. But is only on that spot. My bike was parked in the first parking spot no space anywhere on the right. For it to be bumped by accident. My clock on the dash was also gone!

I'm so sick of this; this is the fourth time something has been damaged at this "gated community". I really wish if it were an accident that someone would have left a note! But, people have no respect here. The cop even told me there were some teenage dirtbags around here. I told him if I catch them there would be no need for his services. He was like "you're serious aren't you". You better believe it if I catch the person there will be repercussions!

Now does anybody have a right hand "f" mirror! I desperately need one and can't spen $70 for it!

I have an E mirror free for you if that does you any good.  Or isn't someone is swapping F to E?  Send Mary your F mirror and I will send you my E mirror.

Sounds to me like one of the little dirtbags pushed your bike over, then one of your nice neighbors picked it up and set the broken mirror on the tank.  Sorry, Mary.  Hey, now's an opportunity to put turn signal mirrors on it!

Really sorry about what happened. I'm curious as to what they did. How they managed to break it off.... :dunno_black: If you catch any of those little punks be sure to give them a proper beating.  :2guns: Hope these will work in the mean time. They're cheap enough.  :)

Happened to me too. On new years eve someone rammed into the parking spot that was allocated to me and my motorcycle fell on the ground. I ended up spending $500 for replacing the fairings and the mirror.

get 'em Mary  :2guns: :2guns: :2guns: :2guns: get 'em all and show them where their place is!!

I guess... jealous. Yup! definitely jealous. This is what they are. They can't get their own motorcycle so they walk around and rip someone else's apart.

I am really sorry for what has happened. I hope that you'll get the mirror fixed soon  :thumb:

I had a similar incident. I was working and i came out to find my bike had been pushed over, the mirror was broken along with bar end and the indicator on the front cowling was pushed through the socket. I know that feeling of the community or certain people within the community not giving two hoots about your bike. I now leave my bike in view of video surveillance at work and the person who did it knows that if i knew it was them they would be loosing fingers.

Believe it or not I do have a cover. And usually do it every night. I had used the bike yesterday morning and the day was so pretty I thought after I worked on my car I'd go joy riding again. Well, the car was taking longer than expected ( due to burglary) getting the top patched. I took a nap at my friend's house because I was really tired (dang heart). So, he drove me to my house cause the car was halfway done and driving would ruin the prior work. So, I got my disc lock and cover but realized I had already accumulated a bunch of dew on the bike. We talked it over and decided that the bike would be okay just this one night! We worked on the surround sound and watched a couple of movies (we both work night shift) so is day to us! He left at six AM and all was well. He is the bike nazi cover it lock the cover, lock the handle bars, put the disc lock on any and all times! When I called he was like figures only takes one day.

I used to park off to the side to be nice to everyone because the spot I'm in space is a commodity. But, that ended when two weeks into me living there someone hit it! With the cover on. Apparently, it sat on it's side for a few days (I was in the hospital). When I come back the bike is up and since was covered didn't notice anything. Then I took the cover off to go to church. Oh my! Side fairing cracked, turn signal broken, muffler rashed. Turned out to be $700 if I were to do all stock. Two weeks after that left my tail pack on the bike (nothing in it except the handicapped tag) well it was gone. They left the attaching equipment so they didn't get anything unless they enjoyed using a handicapped tag!

I really want to do the turn signal in the mirrors how hard is it? I already have LEDS. But, part of me doesn't because that is part of the reason I bought the bike (girly part) I thought the mirrors were cute. My friend said it looked like bug antenna and this is why my bike got the name Flik because it looked like the little blue bug from Bug's life and if flixs curves real well. I mean you couldn't leave a bike after naming it right. That's like naming a pet and leaving it at the pound it's just not right! So, we are going to JB Weld it so I can at least go on the CMA ride to Daytona on Sunday.

Here are some pics of what happened today and the second set is the first incident
This is where I was parked

Here is an off side shot of the bike

This is a close up of how the mirror snapped

This is of the scuffing.

Here is a couple of pics of the last knock over you will see why I find it hard to believe up above was a knock over!

This is why my bike no longer has the suzuki oem stickers on it. I was going to do a custom paint job was talking with Yama about it just the other day but what is the use when some @$$hole is going to ruin it. I've just had a bad run of luck and it's getting me down.

It's really prevalent out here in AZ...everyone seems to do it.  I understand its because it takes the asphalt years to cure because of the heat (?)
I don't really feel that I am that special...funny side note...my gym has blocked off motorcycle parking, and a big sign that asks you not to park on the sidewalk....but there is some important ass hat that insists his dropped who knows how many times gxr belongs right next to the front door on the sidewalk.

Ack. Very frustrating. I feel lucky i still have a bike and nobody has carted it away. The last  building i lived in, i had several people come up to me telling me their gsxr or r6 was lifted out of the gated underground parking garage. My bike was never touched, but peoples car windows were always being smashed regardless of the cameras and rent-a-cops.

Mary and respite are making me glad I don't live in Orlando or LA.  I was jealous that you guys can ride all the time, but here in Buffalo no one oh-my-goodnesses with my bike, and I live in a 12-unit apartment building with no gates or rent-a-cops.  I park behind the building, under one of the two balconies.  Convenient shelter for a bike, doesn't compete with cars for parking space, and a year later, all is well.

By the way, I thought the whole idea of a gated community was to keep the dirtbags out, rather than in!  :2guns:
