The longest trip you ever took on the GS?

1 up + 50lbs luggage/oil: from Louisiana to Cali in 3 days (1700 mi) then from cali to new mexico where I broke down (800 mi). good trip except for  the breakin down part....

What happened?

Got some bad gas and the idjit in New Mexico where like Noooooo! its cuz you burned the rings out.  I took it to a different dealer closer to home and after I TOLD them I thought it was bad gas, they said the same thing as the first.  So I took it home, drained the old, put new gas in it, and she fired right up....there's thread on here some where....gotta different problem now tho...aggghhh

Phoenix loop 101 last saturday night...started in Mesa on the 202, grabbed the 101 and routed it all the way back.  I was really bored and had $10 in my pocket so it was a good time    106 miles  1-up

I have yet to go on a long trip on a motorcycle.  Probably because I got married at 21 and promptly began procreating.  I've ridden 100+ miles by myself many times, but my longest 2-up trip was two trips 70 miles each way to Allegany State Park on the NY/PA border.  If you haven't seen the forests of PA and upstate NY in the summer you need to.  Nothing is greener.  Spent a week, rode around there, had a blast, and got 67 mpg! 

I think I want to hit the Carlisle bike show in PA this summer... yes, I think I need to.

longest solo trip was about 500 miles round trip.

You're doing better than I am. Before my girlfriend left me, I owned the GS for a full year and she sat on it once... Ok, perhaps two times, but never while it was in motion or even running...

I'm with these guys.  my wifes been on the bike once, since I got it. shes sckeered of it.
