I dont know if anyone else is interested in the holders.  I have listed a couple of black on black, blue on black and red on black on ebay.  I also have a green on black and yellow on black that are not listed.

Thanks again guys!

does your key head still allow use of the steering lock?
how green is your green?  like this green?  it looks lighter in the pic than it really is, but is close to kawasaki green.
how about a pic of the green one?

I dont know where the steering lock is on your bike.  It should still work in that it does not alter the key other than changing the top on it.  If your lock is under the steering head and has limited space for the key to fit in to the lock, I guess it could block it because the top is 1 inch in diameter.  Maybe someone else here that has one can answer better.

As for green, PM me your email and I can send you a photo later tonight.

Yes, steering lock still works. I am able to use my key in all postitions for the ignition as well as for the tank and seat release.

wanted to be sure, cause you have to push down on the key

I just got this and yes it will work with you pushing down..  Actually you have to use a dremel to cut your key so that this thing is not so high up.  Well you have to cut that plastic off too..   If you dont want to go through that trouble.. i believe someone here suggested just getting a copy of it from a shop then cutting the copy to fit your needs.

Works great and looks awesome.  Showed it to a couple of my coworkers and they are sold..  just need to send them the link.

I would actually suggest trying to get a space key made and using it for the holder.  No need destroying an original key if you can score a spare at a resonable cost.

Glad you like it.

I'm interested in one.  Black background, red "S" would be perfect.

I bought one and love it!!!! Definitely get a copy made and dremel or grind it down to fit snug inside the slot. I couldn't imagine damaging the original black plastic GS500 key.
