Click the free subscription link...it's legit.  Roadgear's been doing this for a couple years.  I did it last year and it's made Motorcyclist my favorite bike magazine.  Some of you guys did this last year, I know...this is where I found it the first time.

That's a bummer Paulcet...but it really was only $15 :).  I'd sign up for the freebie anyway and then call Motorcyclist and see if they can stack your paid subscription on to the end of your free one.  Cyclegear has been doing this every year, though, and will likely continue to do so...you might end up with a paid subscription that keeps stacking lol.

All of you make sure you use your REAL email address when you sign up...if you don't, you won't get the notification in a year or so that Cyclegear is again giving away free MOtorcyclist subscriptions.

My Motorcyclist subscription renewal comes due in December.  I'm sure this freebie should piggyback.  I figure this promo give-away must be costing that website tens of thousands of dollars :icon_eek:

I certainly wouldn't pay for a 2 yr re-up.  Like other print media, I know at least Cycle World is teetering....2 yrs is a long time when times are a-changin'.  :icon_sad:

As cheap as motorcyclist is I doubt they'll do anything but gain customers...plus, many people look at it the same as I do:  short and easy to read articles = my favorite magazine.  Plus, the mag is so advertisement heavy they're all paid for well before the subscribers hand any cash over.

Darn...... :icon_sad:

ohgood

i'm still waiting on my subscription from the last two yearly "free" signups.

sure, my spam went up 200 %, but no magazines. oh well.

I'm sorry to hear that mr. good...I'd call up cyclegear and ask what's up.  It's worked out great for me.

Jared

Already "filled" 15,000 subs gone already.

Thanks for the heads up tho...

Well here is an interesting article..  you may not be receiving those free mags.....

The publisher of Motorcyclist, Sport Rider, Dirt Rider and several other motorcycle magazines has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The news comes just one month after Cycle World was put on sale. Source Interlink, which is owned by shady billionaire Ron Burkle's Yucaipa Cos. publishes 75 magazines, mostly in the car and motorcycle enthusiast category, making it particularly vulnerable to the downturn in both industries. Source Interlink, which also publishes Motor Trend will now become a private company.

U.S. magazine revenue, already suffering a long-term reduction, fell 20 percent in the first quarter of this year compared to a year ago. In an agreement with lenders, $1 billion in existing Source Interlink debt will be cancelled and around $100 million in additional liquidity will be provided to facilitate ongoing business. It's expected that heavy restructuring and cost cutting will now take place within the company's publications, but it's too early to determine which, if any, titles will be closed or sold.

Source Interlink motorcycle titles:
ATV Rider
Baggers
Dirt Rider
Hot Bike
Motorcycle Cruiser
Motorcyclist
Sport Rider
Street Chopper
Super Street Bike
2008 GS500F Modification: Fenderectomy. Additional LED Brake Lights. Blue Underlighting Kit. Grills on the Fairing. K&N Drop in Filter. Laser Deeptone 2-1 Exhaust. DynoJet Kit. Rear Kellerman Turn Signal. 14T sprocket. Carbon Fiber Race pegs. SM2 handlebar. 06 R6 Rear Suspension.
